Letting Go of What You Can’t Control
Peace comes when we surrender what’s out of our hands.

Key Verse:
"Be still, and know that I am God." — Psalm 46:10
Devotional:
Do you ever feel like you’re holding on too tightly—trying to fix, plan, or control everything? Maybe you’re carrying the weight of a relationship, a situation at work, or the unknowns of the future. The more we try to control what’s out of our hands, the more anxious and exhausted we become.
Psalm 46:10 reminds us to be still and know that He is God. Being still doesn’t mean doing nothing—it means surrendering what is not ours to carry. It means releasing our grip and trusting that God is in control, even when life feels uncertain.
God never intended for you to handle everything alone. He is not asking you to have all the answers, only to trust Him with the ones you don’t. When we let go, we make room for His peace to fill us.
Reflection & Prayer Prompt:
What is one thing you’ve been holding onto that you need to surrender to God?
Ask Him to help you release control and trust in His perfect plan.
Faith in Action:
Write down one worry that has been weighing on you. Pray over it, then physically throw the paper away or place it in your Bible as a reminder that God is in control.
Prayer:
Lord, I surrender what I cannot control. Help me to trust You more and to rest in the knowledge that You are working all things for my good. Fill me with Your peace and remind me that I don’t have to hold everything together—because You already do. Amen.
