Overcoming Jealousy with a Grateful Heart
What God has for you is meant for you.
"If these devotionals have been a blessing to you, consider supporting our ministry so we can continue sharing God’s word with women around the world. Your generosity helps spread His light! 🙏 ‘Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.’ – 2 Corinthians 9:7"
Key Verse:
"A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones." — Proverbs 14:30

Devotional:
Jealousy can creep in quietly—when you see someone else get the promotion, the relationship, the life you’ve been praying for. It’s easy to wonder, Why not me, God? But Proverbs 14:30 warns us that envy doesn’t just affect our hearts; it eats away at our peace.
The truth is, what God has for you is meant for you. His timing is perfect, and His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). Jealousy shifts our focus from God’s faithfulness to someone else’s blessings, making us forget how much He’s already given us.
Instead of comparing, choose gratitude. Thank God for what He’s doing in your life, even if it looks different from what you expected. The more you trust His plan for you, the less space jealousy will have in your heart.
Reflection & Prayer Prompt:
What area of your life do you struggle with comparison?
Ask God to replace jealousy with trust and gratitude for what He’s given you.
Faith in Action:
Make a list of five blessings in your life today. Every time jealousy tries to creep in, shift your focus by thanking God for what He’s already done.
Prayer:
Lord, forgive me for the times I’ve let jealousy steal my joy. Help me to trust that Your plans for me are good and that I lack nothing in You. Fill my heart with gratitude and peace. Amen.
