Running on empty? Read this.
If you feel like you’ve got nothing left to give, this is for you.
Key Verse:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
— Matthew 11:28 (NIV)
Devotional:
You can’t always explain it. You’re not just physically tired—you’re tired in your soul. You smile and push through because people are counting on you. You keep showing up, doing the next thing, being who you’re “supposed” to be. But deep down, you feel spent. Numb. Drained. Like you’ve been pouring from a cup that hasn’t been refilled in a long time.
That, dear friend, is emotional burnout—and it’s real. It’s not weakness, and it’s not failure. It’s a signal. A sacred invitation. And Jesus sees it.
“Come to me,” He says in Matthew 11:28. Not fix yourself and then come. Not pull it together and then you’re welcome. Just—come. Weary. Burdened. Empty. As you are.
You don’t have to carry it all. You don’t have to keep pretending you’re okay when you’re not. God’s rest is more than a nap or a day off—it’s rest for your soul. A place to breathe again, cry if you need to, and be gently reminded that you are not held together by your strength—but by His.
If you’ve been walking through this kind of exhaustion, you might find deep renewal in devotionals like “Healing Journey,” “Finding Your Strength,” or “God Is With You.” These are part of our 13 Guided Devotional Programs, created to help women like you find rest, restoration, and hope—one day at a time.
You don’t have to climb out of burnout on your own. Let God meet you where you are.

You are not too far gone. You are not too broken. And you don’t have to earn God’s comfort—it’s already yours in Christ.
Reflection & Prayer Prompt:
Where in your life have you been pouring out without receiving?
What would it look like to give yourself permission to pause and receive God’s care?
Faith in Action:
🌿 Today, choose one small act of soul care.
Whether it’s sitting in silence with God, journaling your prayers, or stepping outside for a walk—treat your heart like it matters to God. Because it does.
Prayer:
Lord, I’m tired. I’ve tried to carry so much for so long. But You never asked me to do this in my own strength. Teach me how to rest in You. Restore my weary soul. Gently remind me that I’m allowed to be human—and that in my weakness, Your strength is made perfect. Amen.
If this devotion touched something deep in you, that’s not an accident. You were never meant to walk through burnout alone. Let God guide you gently back to wholeness—through His Word, His presence, and His peace.
