Trusting God in the Waiting
His timing is perfect, even when it feels delayed.
Key Verse:
"The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him."
— Lamentations 3:25

Devotional:
Waiting can feel unbearable. Whether you’re waiting for an answer to prayer, clarity in a decision, or healing from a struggle, it’s easy to grow impatient and doubt God’s timing. But Scripture reassures us that waiting isn’t wasted time. It’s often the place where God does His deepest work in us.
Lamentations 3:25 tells us, “The Lord is good to those who wait for Him.” Waiting isn’t about passively sitting by—it’s about actively trusting in God’s character and promises. Waiting can refine your faith, teaching you patience, surrender, and dependence on Him.
Think of Sarah, who waited decades for God to fulfill His promise of a son. Though she struggled with doubt along the way, God’s faithfulness prevailed, and His timing brought joy and purpose far beyond what she imagined. In the same way, your waiting has purpose. It’s preparing you for the blessings and growth God has in store.
Instead of focusing on what hasn’t happened yet, focus on what God is doing now. He is shaping you, teaching you, and strengthening your faith as you trust in Him. In His perfect time, His promises will come to pass.
Reflection & Prayer Prompt:
Where are you struggling to trust God in the waiting?
Ask God to help you see His purpose in this season and to trust His goodness, even when answers seem delayed.
Faith in Action:
Take five minutes today to journal about what you’re learning in your waiting season. Thank God for how He is shaping your heart, even when it feels hard. Share this encouragement with a friend who might also be waiting on God.
Prayer:
Lord, it’s hard to wait when I don’t see the full picture. But I trust that You are good, and Your timing is perfect. Help me to embrace this season as a time of growth and to seek You more deeply. Remind me that You are working all things together for good, and Your promises never fail. Amen.
