When Depression Feels Heavy
God has not forgotten you—He is with you in the darkness.
"If these devotionals have been a blessing to you, consider supporting our ministry so we can continue sharing God’s word with women around the world. Your generosity helps spread His light! 🙏 ‘Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.’ – 2 Corinthians 9:7"
Key Verse:
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." — Psalm 34:18

Devotional:
Depression can make you feel isolated, drained, and unworthy. It whispers lies that you’re alone, that no one understands, and that things will never get better. But those are not the words of God.
Psalm 34:18 reminds us of the truth—God is close to the brokenhearted. Even when you can’t feel Him, He is there. Even when your prayers feel empty, He hears you. Your feelings are real, but they do not define you. Depression does not change the fact that you are loved, valued, and seen by God.
You don’t have to fight this battle alone. God is holding you, even in the darkest moments. And He has placed people around you—friends, family, counselors—who can help carry the weight. There is hope, and you are not forgotten.
Reflection & Prayer Prompt:
In what ways have you felt distant from God during difficult times?
Ask Him to remind you of His presence, even when you cannot feel it.
Faith in Action:
Reach out to someone you trust today. Let them know how you’re feeling, even if it’s just a simple text. You are not meant to carry this alone.
Prayer:
Lord, the weight of depression feels overwhelming, but I know You are near. Even when I don’t feel Your presence, help me to trust that You are holding me. Fill my heart with hope, and give me the strength to reach out for help. Amen.
