When worry won’t let go
If your mind won’t stop racing, this is your invitation to breathe—and trust.
Key Verse:
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”
— 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)
Devotional:
There are days when anxiety doesn’t just knock at the door—it moves in. You wake up already tense. The to-do list feels like a mountain. Your mind spins with what ifs, and no amount of deep breathing seems to quiet the storm inside.
If that’s where you are today, hear this: God sees you. And He cares.
1 Peter 5:7 doesn’t just offer a command—it offers a comfort. “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” Not because you need to be stronger. Not because you should have it all together. But because He wants to carry what’s too heavy for you.
And yes—He can handle all of it. The fear that keeps you awake. The pressure you hide behind a smile. The knots in your stomach no one else can see. God isn’t asking you to ignore those feelings—He’s inviting you to give them to Him.
If you need help learning how to do that in your everyday life, you’re not alone. That’s why we created “Peace Over Anxiety” and “Mental Health & Faith”—two of the 13 Guided Devotional Journeys designed to walk with you through real, daily struggles like this.
These aren’t quick fixes or surface-level encouragements. They’re Scripture-based, soul-soothing reminders that you can return to every single day as you learn to rest instead of run, breathe instead of break.

God’s peace doesn’t mean your life will be free of chaos—but it does mean you can be free in the middle of it.
You are not a burden for feeling anxious. You are beloved. And your Heavenly Father offers not just peace for your circumstances—but peace for your soul.
Reflection & Prayer Prompt:
What’s one anxious thought you’ve been carrying alone?
What would it look like to bring it honestly before God today?
Faith in Action:
📓 Today, try this: Write down everything that’s weighing on your heart. Every worry, every fear. Then, one by one, pray through each item and hand it to God. Don’t rush. He’s in no hurry with you.
Prayer:
God, You know the thoughts that swirl in my mind. You see the tension in my body and the weight in my heart. Help me to lay my anxiety at Your feet—not because I’m strong, but because You are. Replace my worry with Your peace, and my fear with trust. I surrender it all to You. Amen.
